This series are illustrations are on pages from Vincent Norman Peale's book 'The Power of Positive Thinking'. These are a meditative study by Patty Hogan exploring contemporary events and internal struggles with mental health and the pursuit of happiness. These all are created with acrylic paint and ink on paper measuring 7 x 4 inches.

Patty Hogan's stream of consciousness illustrations on vintage book pages transport viewers into a captivating realm of introspection and artistic expression. With a deft hand, Hogan combines the nostalgia of vintage books with the rawness of unfiltered thoughts. Through an interplay of colors, shapes, and handwritten texts, her illustrations meander across the aged pages, creating a visual symphony of spontaneous brushstrokes and fragmented musings. Emotions and memories emerge from the layers, inviting viewers to delve into their own subconscious. Hogan's art blurs the boundaries between art and literature, immersing us in the ever-shifting landscapes of the human mind, and igniting a sense of wonder and self-discovery within us.
